Social Media & Community Executive

We are the future of sustainable pet feed. Our secret… insects! Our insect-growing pods empower people to create their own source of animal feed, by recycling their uneaten fruit and veg. Producing a continuous supply of affordable, sustainable and nutritious pet feed.

We’re looking for an a person who can create, curate and outreach kick ass content for our socials. From imagers to videos to blogs to email campaigns!

ROLE:

This is a hands-on role, with many aspects of D2C marketing from running social media accounts, creating email campaigns, interviewing customers etc. You are the marketing and data centre.

 

Ideal for a someone with 12-30 months of experience

 

You’ll be responsible: 

Planning: 

  • Work with our founder and marketing partner to develop our social media plans and execute them in line with our wider brand, sales, audience growth and engagement goals. Plan, create and schedule content 30+ days in advance.

Social Media Strategy:

  • Keep your finger on the pulse, and proactively identify emerging trends and opportunities in our sectors that we can leverage to reach our goals.

  • Create an integrated cross channel approach, ensuring our social, blog and CRM plans are all woven together to help create the fullest picture of what BeoBia is doing and changing.

 

Content Creation:

  • Lead in writing, curating, planning and delivering killer wrote and visual content across all our social channels (facebook, instagram, tick-tock) and blog

  • Email Campaign - Plan, write, implement and analysis.

  • Work with our partner to generate the visual content required.

  • In addition to planned campaigns, you’ll be responsible for live capture of events, and publishing at the moment.

  • Be a full-time brand guardian, creating content that’s bang on brand and in-line with our tone of voice. You’ll always be thinking about brand consistency and cohesion.

  • Think about relevant topics for our blog, approach guest writers, and have deep ‘unagi’ with our customers and what they want to read and are interested in.

  • Capture live events, and publishing in real time. Always be thinking about brand consistency and cohesion.

 

Community Engagement:

  • Join in relevant conversations and start your own, publishing content that inspires relevant debate and discussion to drive engagement.

  • Help manage all day-to-day queries, questions and comments, ensuring we’re always delivering first class customer service.

  • Social Media Group Outreach (Knowledgeable about D2C and pet industry/garden centre)

 

Influencer:

  • Help spot social creators and users that compliment our brand and values, and approach them with compelling collaboration propositions.

  • Build and foster a community of kick-ass BeoBia advocates & ambassadors

Analytics & Insights:

  • Work with our  marketing partner to track and report on performance, and identify successes, learnings and new opportunities

  • Monitor email success analytics, refining the content and process to ensure we are improving as we go.

Other ad hoc responsibilities:

  • We’re a small, agile team so you’ll need to be prepared to get stuck in to other marketing activities as opportunities arise - e.g. repping BeoBia at various events/ trade shows etc

MUST HAVES:

  • 1 - 3 years of social media / marketing experience, ideally in e-commerce/retail 

  • Skilled in image and video editing softwares (Adobe, final cut pro etc) 

  • Amazing people skills - comfortable speaking and pitching to people/groups

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • Ability to work independently

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment

  • A creative problem solver
